Stephens Little Superior has partnered with a national financial services company located in north Dallas area to find a Sr. Financial/Budget Analyst for Corporate & IT Departments.

JOB TITLE: Senior Financial Analyst
REPORTS TO: Director of Budgeting and Forecasting
The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the financial budget and forecasting process for Corporate level Departments, with a focus on IT within the company. In this position, the Sr. Analyst will provide monthly variance reports and detailed explanations; define, implement, communicate and manage process flow improvements; and routinely perform financial analysis such as ROI, NPV, IRR and construct departmental financial statements such as P&L.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Distill complicated financial metrics and results in both detailed and executive summaries in both verbal and written format
Working knowledge of capital vs. operating budgets and the financial metrics commonly used in performing analysis is each such as IRR, NPV and ROI.
Must be effective and efficient in data mining or knowledge discovery – a process of massaging, testing and analyzing data from different perspectives and summarizing the results in a way that impacts driving financial decisions up to an executive level.
Ability to build and maintain key business relationships with corporate departments and IT department.
Bachelor`s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related field. Master`s Degree in a related field or MBA preferred
Minimum 5-7 years in Multi-Unit financial planning, business analysis and accounting activities
Although the position will not have specific direct reports, managerial experience is required due to all touch points with departments and process management
Experience in IT and Operational budgeting is needed; experience at a software company is preferred.
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Must be an expert in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Cognos TM1 experience a plus
Prefer candidates from mid-sized to large corporate organizations; therefore, adept of commonplace processes and procedures
CPA, CFA or CMA Designation preferred
